Invoices and reports

From an Invoice to a Searchable PDF Statement in Amunta

Amunta treats an invoice as part of your ledger, not as a separate image beside it. You can create a cash sale or purchase, record a pay-later transaction, and add products, quantities, prices, notes, and the related person.

When payment is due later, Amunta can link the invoice to an outstanding balance instead of leaving it without follow-up. A cash transaction affects the ledger immediately and, in Amunta+, can use the appropriate fund.

Four clear cases

Details preserve the story of a transaction

An invoice can contain multiple items with quantities and prices, and you can attach a receipt or document image. Depending on the document type, you can also add a signature. The signature is saved with that record, so changing your active signature later does not alter an older invoice.

What makes the PDF searchable?

Amunta builds PDF reports and account statements from text and vector elements rather than a screenshot. You can search and copy their text, and the result remains clear when printed on A4 paper.

This does not mean that text inside every receipt photo is automatically scanned. The image remains an attachment; the report or statement text is the searchable part.

Why link invoices to the ledger?

If the invoice lives in one place and the balance in another, updates are easy to forget or duplicate. In Amunta, a pay-later transaction contributes to the linked balance, and later repayments remain visible in the same financial context.

Do invoices and PDF exports need the internet?

No. Creating an invoice, adding items, saving local attachments, and building a PDF report or statement all work offline. A connection is needed only when you choose A-Link sharing or Google Drive backup.
